How to cook Karaage :Japanese Fried chicken
This is a dish eating with Drinks in Japan. It’s nice partner with Beer!
Also, a lot of people from child to elder love this food. it’s popular as lunch food and Bento.
There is a chicken flavor; crisp fried chicken taste and soy sauce!!
It’ll male you smile in your kitchen!
Ingredients
- Left: potato starch Right: Flour
Chicken thigh: 400g
ーFor soaking sauceー
Ginger: 10g
Garlic: 1piece
Sake(Rice wine): 2tbsp
Water: 2tbsp
Soy sauce: 2tbsp
Potato strach: 4tbsp
Flour: 4tbsp
Directions

Ground ginger and garlic.
Cut the chicken into 3~4cm sizes.

Place the chicken in a bowl and add in the sauce.
Soak the chicken in the sauce in about 15min.

Place the flour in the bowl and mix roughly.
Place the potato starch in the bowl and mix roughly.

- cook for 2min and turn over
- cook again
Place the cooking oil in a hotpot until it’s 2~3cm layer.
Heat to 170℃.
Place the chicken in the hotpot, and cook ,turning over only once when the time comes 2min, for 3~4min.
Then, transfer to a plate and wait for about 4min.
Heat to 190℃.
Cook the chicken again for 1~2min.
