How to cook Chilled Tofu with toppings

It’s a way to eat Tofu simply.

Japanese people eat Tofu as foods with drinks or cuisine for Summer(in very hot day).

This recipe is a Japanese food which cold tofu put topping and seasonings on.

When you preserve left over, Please put in a fridge  not to go bad quickly.

Ingredients

SERVING: 1~ 2

Tofu 1pack

ーseasoningsー

Leeks 3cm

Soy sauce moderate amount 

Dashi a touch amount (if you can prepare)

Dried bonito flakes  2grips amount

If you have ginger, adding ground ginger is tasty.

Instructions

Mix soy sauce and Dashi.

drain the tofu to remove excess water.

Set a strainer on a bowl. 

Transfer a tofu to the strainer, and leave it about 10~20min.


Time-saving way

wrap tofu in 2 paper towels

Place it on a heat-proof dish, and cook by microwave,

500w- for about 2min 30sec.

or

600w- for about 2min.


Place the tofu in a fridge and set aside to cool little.

Mince leek.

sprinkle the leeks and dried bonito flakes on the Tofu.

And pour mixed sauce (soy sauce and Dashi) on it.
